Party Down

We flew back to Salt Lake after Nate finished up his last final, which, by the way, just so happened to be on the very last day of his exam period. Of course. After 3 years of living in D.C. we've yet to finish finals before the very last day which is unfortunate because plane tickets are much cheaper if you're able to fly out a few days earlier.

Anyway, we touched down, packed an overnight bag, and headed for Pocatello for what is becoming our annual Whittier Christmas party. The newest addition to the festivities this year was a little Schnauzer, Pepper. Bryn took a minute to warm up to such an active little dog, but they became inseparable as the weekend progressed.

One of our favorite parts of the weekend is the White Elephant exchange. After the fun and slightly disturbing gifts last year, we couldn't wait to see what was in store for this year's Christmas exchange. For our part, we found two priceless gifts. 1) A singing Justin Beiber (Bieber?) toothbrush, and 2) a big bag of Christmas "Pooh." Unfortunately, after little B saw the Pooh Bear she wouldn't give him up.

Him:

Hometown, Farmington Utah. Attended Davis High where he enjoyed bowling instead of class and hockey at 4 a.m. Spent a few years relaxing in Tahiti, school at Dixie State, met her, graduated from the U of U. Fun used to consist of hockey, paintball, volleyball, camping, skiing, boating, golf, and her. Now fun consists of reading thick books in cramped cubicles. Oh yeah, and he's still crazy about her.

Her:

Hometown, Monticello Utah. Attended school at Monticello High where she enjoyed basketball, softball. Went to Utah State for a year before she realized that the sunny red rocks of Dixie were much more appealing. Met him while working together at Tony Roma's. Fun used to consist of softball, volleyball, scrapbooking, and him. Now fun consists of raising the most adorable daughter in the world. She's of course still crazy about him.

Little Her:

Hometown, Arlington Virginia. Fun didn't used to consist of anything other than trying to grow the right amount of body parts. Fun now consists of arranging her stuffed animals and reading to them, going to nursery, and moving from one obsession to the next. She's taking in the world around her and figuring out more everyday, inching slowly toward the day when she'll rule the world. Oh, and little her now thinks both him and her are just plain crazy.

Little Him:

Well he's doing the baby thing for now. The second of the bunch to be born in Virginia, he'll arrive two years (almost to the day) after the little Miss. He's already big and getting bigger. He'll make her happy when his little fists of fury are banging drums, instead of her ribs.
