We've now come to the end of the journeys of Steph, Jen, and Bryn. Fun fact: the first millionaire in the United States was in Salem. Apparently they have more than witches in Salem. Long ago it was a major shipping port and made some of the villagers very wealthy.
Staging out of Boston, the gaggle of girls was able to visit the outlying areas like Salem, Mass; Maine; Walden Pond; and Martha's Vineyard. The weather was a little blustery, but they all had a good time. Walden Pond was really very serene and beautiful. No wonder Thoreau's greatest works came while he was living there.
Maine was cold and windy, but at least the lighthouses provided a scenic view. Martha's vineyard was really cool. The houses are all so unique, something you really don't see anymore with master planned communities and cookie cutter houses. MV really has its own unique flair, and is definitely on our must see list.
Beyond these areas the girls also stopped in Lexington. The really cool thing is that the area is so rich in history. Everywhere you drive you see stone fences that have been around since the Revolution. Every time you turn around there is another plaque marking a trail that Washington marched on, or a house that Paul Revere was captured in by the British. Overall the trip was a winner!
And then there were pics....
