It's been far too long since the last time we updated the world on what our little Miss has been up to. Well we'll tell you, Nothing Good! She's just been a little rambunctious terror since we got back from Europe! I guess the Grandparents must have spoiled her rotten! Bryn has been crawling like a fiend ever since we came home. It's hard to keep up with her these days, and if we ever wanted a little puppy around, we don't need one now. Miss Bryn loves to follow you from room to room while she tries to get into trouble.
We had our first run-in with the flu. We were sitting down one night after Brynlee had gone to bed. We heard our little girl coughing in the back room and went to investigate. Well, as it turns out she had vomited all over her pj's but was still sound asleep! We had to get her out, give her a bath, and try to put her down again. It wasn't 15 minutes before she did it again, and again, and again. In the end we stayed up most with her for most of the night while she was dry-heaving. It took a few days to get over but she eventually got through it. The one take-away from this entire situation was - don't buy flavored pedialyte. She drank a few tablespoons but wouldn't come near the stuff after that. We tried everything from mixing it in her food, to putting it in her bottle. As soon as she tasted or smelled it she shut down. I'm thinking Gatorade next time. Same basic ingredients, 1/6th the price. And if she doesn't drink it, Nate will.
We've now fully recovered from the flu, although it did take an entire week to get her to eat like she did before. The poor little girl's britches just didn't fit anymore. She was sagging pants for a few days; thought we would have to buy her a belt!
The weather is getting warmer by the day. Spring has almost arrived and the Cherry Blossom festival is just around the corner. Can't wait to get downtown and try out the new camera! Other than that we are just trying to finalize our plans for the summer. For now, the countdown until finals begin, and Ms. B turns one year old in just a few weeks! Party time.
Here's a few recent pictures where Bryn is demonstrating her acting chops. These are... the many faces of Brynlee!
There is Suprise,
Happiness,
and Dejection. (she's on the naughty stool). Any number
of things could have landed her here. Most recently, Miss
B has found a stray piece of carpet and decided to rip up
a chunk of our carpet!
Her "cheezer" face. Often accompanied by her imitation of
a puppy dog (she gets so excited her arms and legs stick straight
out and she starts to pant like a little puppy). Too cute.
The "I have a secret" face. And yes, that is food stuck to her forehead. She's saving it for later - gross!
Puppy dog eyes.
Just plain old puppy dog - or pirate. I mean come on, how else is she going to take her keys with her?
This is what happens when Grandma sends me a beautiful little yarn ball.
She decided that the best thing to do with it was to tear it apart. The ball
lasted for a total of 20 seconds before this happened. We've put it back
together a few times now, but it now sits on a shelf - far out of reach.
