1 Year!!!!

It's so exciting we had to use 4 exclamation points! Lil' Bryn invited some of her friends over for her little Bunny Bash (at least as many as she could fit in our tiny space...) Dad made pulled pork sandwiches and baked beans, Mom decorated the greatest cake ever. More on that later.

Here is the beginning of the Bunny Cake. In keeping with this year's theme we had tried to think of what we could do with the cake. Lucky for us, Spencer is dating an extremely creative young lady who just happened to have a Bunny cake pan! Our first attempt didn't quite come out right... This time worked out much better. It's a good thing we decided to do a practice cake before the actual day, otherwise we may have had a deformed bunny.

Bryn and all her little bunny friends. From left to right we had Libby, Lydia, and Penelope.

These girls are both in the same ward, but they still felt they had to size each other up.

Presents! We got her one of those weird singing animals for Christmas (Dennis) and we had to get his sister doll (Beatrice) for her birthday.

The end product, it was almost too beautiful to cut into. Luckily Nate has had extensive bunny eradication practice down in Monticello and stepped up to dismantle the delicious rabbit.

We made her a little smash cake to avoid encouraging bunny smashing at such an early age.

It took her a while to really get into it. She started by dipping a finger in the frosting. And dipping it again. And going back for another, and another, and another until she started smashing and grabbing. After she had had her fill of cake she decided to continue playing with the cake before finally flinging it all over. Luckily we had planned a sufficiently large "splash zone."

These are the kind of pictures that always end up on wedding montages.

After a bath she was feeling pretty good in her birthday shades.

A hard day of play makes Brynlee a tired little girl. This has now become her favorite sleeping position. She sure is a little character and we love her very, very much.

Since Bryn was nice enough to have her party on the weekend before her birthday we felt we had to get her a little cupcake from the corner bakery. So this was her "actual" birthday cake.
Happy 1st Birthday Brynlee Bug!!
