After waiting the obligatory "one hour after eating" rule, everyone got ready to go to the pool. And, as you can plainly see, Hudson did not leave the table hungry and had a somewhat difficult time fitting into his 12-18 month bathing suit. He is so adorable. I want to just nibble on him all day. Bryn insisted that "Momma Monkey" wanted to go swimming as well and even offered to share her flotation device.
While Hudson floated around the pool without a care in the world, Grandma Charlene helped Brynlee practice her strokes and floating skills. Bryn was less than thrilled by this. She finally convinced Grandma to just hold onto her really tight while she pretended to be the Little Mermaid.
Hudson really enjoyed playing in the pool. The water, however, was a little chilly, and so when Hudson's lips started to turn blue, Nate decided that was a pretty good indication that swimming time was over. With only minimal protesting, Hudson got out of the pool and was content to snuggle in a towel with me while everyone else finished up. After all the bathing beauties showered and made themselves presentable, we headed over to the Ugly Sweater Party.
